General
About FEROTECH, our background, and how we work.
What services does FEROTECH provide?+
We specialize in machining and manufacturing industrial components from steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and advanced plastics. We also provide engineering consultation to improve production efficiency and part performance across all critical industries.
How long has FEROTECH been in business?+
We've been machining precision components for nearly two decades — 19 years and counting — building long-term relationships with manufacturers who need parts done right the first time.
Which industries do you work with?+
We serve automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, food and pharmaceutical, energy, information transmission, and military sectors, spanning both Canadian and international manufacturing standards.
Where is FEROTECH located, and do you ship internationally?+
Our workshop is based at 5470 Rue Vanden Abeele, Saint-Laurent, QC. We serve clients across Canada and internationally, with experience meeting both domestic and cross-border manufacturing standards.
How can I reach FEROTECH?+
Contact us via email at info@ferotechmachinery.com or by phone at (514) 242-4594. We respond to all requests within 24 hours.
Services & Capabilities
What we machine, how, and to what tolerances.
What machines and technologies are used?+
Our workshop is equipped with conventional lathes, milling machines, and semi-CNC EDM systems. We are continuously expanding capabilities with advanced CNC machinery and welding systems to meet growing client demands.
Do you handle custom orders?+
Absolutely. Custom component manufacturing is our core service. Send us your drawings, CAD files, or a physical sample — we'll review, quote, and manufacture to your exact specifications.
What tolerances can you machine to?+
We hold tight tolerances suited to demanding sectors like aerospace and defense. Exact achievable tolerances depend on part geometry, material, and process — share your drawing and we'll confirm feasibility before quoting.
Can you help with part design or engineering improvements?+
Yes. Alongside machining, we offer engineering consultation to improve manufacturability, reduce production costs, and extend part performance — often before a single cut is made.
Do you offer prototyping or low-volume runs?+
Yes, we regularly produce single prototypes as well as low-volume production runs, making us a good fit for both early-stage development and ongoing replacement-part supply.
Quotes & Ordering
How to get started and what we need from you.
How do I request a quote?+
Fill out the form on our Contact page, or email your drawings, CAD files, or specifications to info@ferotechmachinery.com. We review every submission and follow up within 24 hours.
What information do you need to quote a part?+
A dimensioned drawing or CAD file (STEP, DXF, PDF), the required material, quantity, and any critical tolerances or finish requirements. If you only have a physical sample, that works too — we can reverse-engineer from it.
Is there a minimum order quantity?+
No strict minimum. We take on single prototype pieces as well as ongoing production runs — quantity is one of the factors we use to build your quote, not a barrier to working with us.
How much does a custom part cost?+
Pricing depends on material, geometry, tolerance, and quantity — there's no flat rate. Send us your specs through the contact form and we'll return a detailed, no-obligation quote.
Can you work from an existing part with no drawing?+
Yes. Send us the physical sample and we'll measure, reverse-engineer, and quote it — this is a common request for legacy or replacement components.
Quality & Materials
Standards, materials, and how we verify our work.
What materials do you work with?+
We machine steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and advanced plastics, selecting the right material for your part's application, whether that's load-bearing, corrosion resistance, or high-precision fit.
How do you ensure part quality?+
Every part is measured against your specifications before it ships. Our nearly two decades of experience across aerospace, defense, and automotive work means quality control is built into how we machine, not an afterthought.
Can you meet aerospace or defense-grade requirements?+
Yes — these are among the sectors we regularly serve. Share your governing standard or spec with your RFQ and we'll confirm our capability to meet it before quoting.
Do you provide inspection reports or documentation?+
We can provide dimensional documentation to support your quality requirements — let us know what's needed for your project when you submit your RFQ so it's built into the quote.
Shipping & Delivery
Turnaround times and how orders reach you.
What's the typical lead time?+
Lead times vary with part complexity, material, and quantity. Simple parts can turn around quickly; more complex or higher-volume jobs take longer. We confirm an exact timeline with every quote.
Can you accommodate rush orders?+
In many cases, yes. Let us know your deadline when you request a quote and we'll tell you upfront whether it's achievable and what it takes to hit it.
Do you ship outside Canada?+
Yes, we have experience shipping to international clients and working within cross-border manufacturing and export requirements.
How will I know the status of my order?+
Our team keeps you updated through the production process. If you need a status check at any point, just email info@ferotechmachinery.com or call (514) 242-4594.
